Marker Tests - 2024
In our school package with tools that we had to order individually, markers and pencils were one of the tools we received in trade for my bank account.
Instructions were to utilize the markers and pencils in a way to recreate the reference image everyone would use. I started with base layers of pencil scratches and worked my way into shadows and darker tones to later on work with the markers. By mixing the undertones with the watery markers, I could achieve mixtures of colors accurate to my reference images.

I've always been inspired by hatching techniques of mangaka, yet never took the effort to recreate it myself.
But for a practice assignment, I did. By picking an image with many dark and light values present I was able to use the thickness of the pens to put emphasis on the area's. Using crosshatching techniques I made fine use of the pens.

Layering with Paper - 2024
A rather challenging assignment had me running around Primera for large pieces of paper which I spend like twelve Euro's on.
By using a scene from either a movie or series, we had to compose the composition in the show with paper. Printing colors was forbidden, bummer, but I got a long way either way. By tearing the paper, I got a smokey result for the fire, and the shapes with hard edges being more clear in the composition.
